Noosa Airbnb Local Law
Noosa Council introduced a local law for 'Short Term Letting (STL) and Home Hosted Accommodation in February 2022.
​​
Council's aim is to reduce problems that affect the amenity of residents; key issues include noise, light spill, poor guest behaviour, parking, dogs barking, waste...
​​
The local law requires all STL property hosts to supply a contact available 24 hours located within 20km of the property to respond, to complaints within 30 minutes.
​
Maximum of two contacts can be provided, allowing for both daytime and after-hours contact, or you can supply a single 24-hour contact.
​​
Fines and loss of Short Term Letting Registration can result from breaches of Noosa's STL local law.
​​
